La Lune

We have been busy this week working on a bunch of new jewels you can look forward to including a couple super duper skronk beast necklaces, yippeeee :D

One of my favourite films ever, La Voyage Dans la Lune, has been restored in full technicolour 110 years after its first release in 1902, yay! A French electro group,  Air, have done the soundtrack. It looks beautiful!  Here are some clips ~

South Wales Bloggers Meet

On Thursday 13th was the South Wales Bloggers Meet Up in St Davids centre which we were told about by Chantele of Daisy Days.
  We contributed some discount vouchers to the goodie bags given out at the event and donated a necklace to the raffle. We couldn't make it on the day but heard everybody enjoyed themselves :)

Sick

Sarah and I have both been ill the past week so there's not a lot going on really.  I've discovered a fantastic comedian called Robert Popper, I am practically crying listening to his prank phone calls.

 We chose a winner for our second giveaway -- the prize was these button earrings.

We are designing our new flash website which is looking amazing so far... it will hopefully be up and running in the next few weeks!

In other news we are happy to be releasing two of our favourite necklaces into the wild, going to Australia and Los Angeles

The Jewellery Maker

Sarah was recently lucky enough to have her portrait painted by the amazing artist, Neil Chard. It was entered into the BP National Portrait Awards, although unfortunately it didn't make the shortlist. We think it's amazing! It looks like a photograph! You can even see all the split ends perfectly ha ha. It's called "The Jewellery Maker" and features one of our necklaces (Vintage Rainbow Crystal Necklace With Parisian Button) He took over 100 photos of Sarah and made up an image from those. From start to finish it took four months to paint!

We've got a lot done this past few days! Mostly website stuff; there are a few things available to purchase now straight from the website:

Also this week we have learned that we are both golden dragons! We were born in 1988, the year of the Dragon, but since the number eight is lucky in Chinese culture that makes it the year of the Golden Dragon.

In other news, I have been lumbered with a piece of wood. It is quite large, about a foot and a half tall, and an interesting irregular shape. I'm going to make some kind of disgusting shrine to all things cute and kawaii out of it. Which means we'll need to hoard even more little animals! I'm even wrestling with the idea of having some taxidermy... sick, I know.

Super special custom charm bracelets!

A few weeks ago we started making a custom charm bracelet for Ferne. She had seen one of our bracelets and wanted something similar but more personal to her, so she sent us a few charms and bits she had collected. Out of these and plenty of other shiny bits we made her this lovely bracelet, based upon our vintage white charm bracelet
